About

Steiner/Waldorf Education focuses on the whole child – it stimulates the mind with the full spectrum of traditional academic subjects; it nurtures healthy emotional and social development through child-centered learning and guides physical development through a broad range of artistic, movement, and craft activities.

“Receive the child in reverence
Educate him in Love
Let him go forth in Freedom”
– Rudolf Steiner

Meet our teachers

   Kia ora,
My name is Sue McGeorge and I am a long standing teacher of Pathways Steiner Kindergarten. I  embrace the bi-cultural heritage of New Zealand, incorporating the values of Tikanga Maori while acknowledging and respecting all cultures. I have a genuine love and respect for children and am committed to providing learning opportunities for children and support for families.
Kia ora,
My name is Monika Rakowska and I come from Poland. I arrived in New Zealand in 1999 and it has become my home.
Pathways Steiner Kindergarten in Rotorua is a very special place, where time ceases to exist. As a teacher I value my ability to be present, in the moment – with the children, their whānau and all the people I work with. Pathways Kindergarten makes these kind of interactions possible, and I find myself thriving here, along with the tamariki.
Love and Light
Tena koe.
Im Yanné Logan, from Taranaki, Aotearoa. I’ve been involved with Steiner early childhood education since my children were little and feel blessed to be working at Pathways Kindergarten, in the special nurturing environment it provides for tamariki and their whanau. I’m passionate about food and nutrition, and love working each day in the busy kitchen alongside the children, preparing wholesome plant-based nutritious meals.
Kia ora.
